Going Green
Going green means a lot of things to a lot of people and I have my own ideas. Not everyone will go as far as we want to go, but that is life, and a choice we each must face. How far do I want to go eventually? I want a green home on land enough to grow a sizeable portion of my own food.
Here is the logical progression I want to make.
- First is transportation. I have an aging environmentally unfriendly truck in need of repair. I would prefer to replace this with something more eco friendly.
- Replace inefficient appliances. We rent right now so there is only so much we can do, but we can still make some changes.
- Find a spot to build an green home with land enough to grow some of our own food.
My goal on all of this is five years. I would like to be in a permanent location by the time Liam starts high school and Sarah starts kindergarten.
